Nordic Projekt was born from a conversation between two natural entrepreneurs who were determined to bring real value to both pharmacies and end-customers:

Andreas and Jonna, a Swedish/American couple with 15 years of experience in building related companies in the pharmaceutical sector. 

Together they began to shape the idea that a fusion of our experience in the pharmaceutical sector and knowledge of trends blended with functionality could bring groundbreaking improvements to the OTC market. 

We knew we could do better than messy displays and a frustrating sales-process for both the seller and the customer. And we knew it was definitely possible to bring the market better looking eyewear that would also care for our customers eyes. For example, why shouldn’t all eyewear include a blue light filter to protect the eyes from damaging exposure radiated from screens? (spoiler alert: today all our eyewear do). 

The main question we asked ourselves was: 

How can we improve the way eyewear are being sold in pharmacies and other OTC platforms?  

After months of brainstorming ideas and analyzing the market of OTC glasses, we detected the real needs of the customers and the pharmacies – and the solution: 

To present our eyewear in an innovative and elegant display that rapidly increase sales for the OTC platform while offering a unique customer experience.

In 2015 we launched a new concept that was nothing short of a revolution in the pharmacy world: the Nordic Projekt 360º concept, which not only brought quality designer eyewear to the market, but also a revolutionary, patented sales system.

This innovative display solved all headaches associated with selling reading glasses for pharmacists up to then. Nordic Projekt offered a self-service display in which customers themselves can choose the model that favors them the most, with the graduation they need, and then only have to proceed to the counter to pay for the product. This is a huge time-savor for the pharmacies and any other OTC platform and also allow them to quickly control stock, which is stored in the display itself. It also represents an increase in sales, while optimizing high-turnover products based on real-time data from the market.
